AP/Advanced

Advanced Placement (AP) and Advanced art meet together each day. Being part of Advanced Art is a great option for students who are looking to challenge themselves as an artist but do not want to commit to the demands of AP Art. For those who plan on taking AP it is a preparatory course that provides students time to make great gains in their artistic skill and understand the processes that can be applied in the AP portfolio submission.

Advanced art will be submitting a project every two weeks throughout the year. AP Art is more challenging as they will be expected to turn in a complete work every week in order to create a well versed portfolio. In submitting a portfolio students have the opportunity to earn college credit based on the score they receive from the College Board.
